Amazon is seeking an Area Manager for Worldwide Operations to lead a team of 50–100 associates in a Fulfillment Center. You will coach leaders, monitor real-time metrics, adjust labor plans, and drive continuous improvement while upholding safety standards.

You will communicate policies, ensure compliance, and partner with management to meet quality and customer demand objectives. A strong focus on Lean initiatives and cross-functional collaboration is essential.

Formación

• 3+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Fluent in English (speaking, writing, reading) and ability to take direction in English.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

What is fulfillment you ask?

Fulfillment is how we refer to completing or fulfilling a customer’s Amazon.com order and the acts of picking, packing, shipping and delivering their order to meet or exceed their expectations!

Job Requirements

• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and/or overnight shifts
• Ability to work overtime both in peak season and as needed

Locations and Placement

• The position is NOT a corporate role and will be located in a Fulfillment Center

Key job responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop a team of 50 to 100 Amazon Associates
• Communicate policies to Associates and act as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance, consistency, and taking corrective action when needed
• Create, manage, and support recognition and communication programs
• Support all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all Associates
• Ensure procedures are followed for building security and product loss prevention
• Partner with the management team to establish and maintain quality control standards
• Develop performance goals and objectives to achieve customer demand and ensure accuracy and quality
• Proactively identifying and leading process improvement initiatives and Lean tools.
• Tactical leadership of strategic initiatives.
• Cross functional coordination and task tracking.
• Communications across various areas to ensure alignment of goals and tasks to guarantee the overall success of the program.
• Strategic planning and forecasting to appraise performance and problem resolution.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Management and execution of cross-functional projects or components of large programs including data gathering, manipulation and analysis.

A day in the life

Your day starts with a shift huddle to align on goals and safety. Most of your time is spent on the floor—coaching leaders, monitoring real-time metrics, adjusting labor plans, and removing barriers. You develop your people through feedback and engagement, drive continuous improvement, and ensure the highest safety standards. You close each shift with a clear handoff, owning your area's results from start to finish. No two days are alike, but your impact is constant.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of employee and performance management experience
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Speak, write, and read fluently in English, and have the ability to take direction in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field
• 2+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
