Amazon is looking for an Area Manager to lead and develop a team of Amazon Associates in a fulfillment center environment. You will motivate, mentor and coach your team, ensuring safety, quality, attendance and engagement are maintained across shifts.

You will own the work and be available for overtime during peak seasons, driving customer experience with a 24/7 operations mindset and applying Lean tools to improve processes and outcomes.

Formación

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of team leadership experience.

As an Area Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead and develop your own team of Amazon Associates in a FC environment. Your main focus will be motivating, mentoring and coaching your team. As a servant leader, the Area Manager will ensure that their team of Amazon Associates have all the tools needed to succeed for any task during a shift. Engaging with your team during a shift to ensure that the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance performance and engagement are maintained are core functions of the role. Job Requirements:


  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

  • Can stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach


Locations and placement:


  • The position is NOT a remote role and will be located in a Fulfillment Center


Key job responsibilities


  • You and your team of warehouse associates are responsible for getting Amazon customers their orders. You are responsible for ensuring that you have properly trained people, and that their needs are addressed so they can focus on their jobs

  • You take ownership in your work and team and are available to work overtime during Amazon’s peak holiday season and as needed year-round. You are obsessed with customer experience and understand the importance of a 24/7 operations. You are flexible to work on any type of assigned shift (nights, weekends, etc.)

  • Leading and developing a team of 80-100 hourly associates by embodying Amazon’s Leadership Principles

  • Proactively identifying and leading process improvement initiatives using Lean tools to delight customers

Basic Qualifications


  • Work a rotating, flexible schedule, including nights, overnights, weekends and holidays. Able to work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1+ years of team leadership experience


Preferred Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering, or 2+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment experience

  • 2+ years of work experience

  • Experience managing and developing large high-performance teams of associates/managers

  • Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal
