Amazon is seeking an entry-level Area Manager to lead and develop a team of Amazon Associates in our Cuautitlán Izcalli Fulfillment Center. You will focus on safety, quality, productivity, and engagement, while applying the Leadership Principles to coach and mentor team members across shifts.

Responsibilities include communicating policies, managing performance, driving continuous improvements, and ensuring accuracy and timely processing of orders.

Formación

  • 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in English.

  • Communicate policies to Associates and act as the primary information source, maintaining compliance and taking corrective action when needed.
  • Create, manage, and support recognition and communication programs.
  • Support safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Ensure procedures are followed for building security and product loss prevention.
  • Partner with the management team to establish and maintain quality control standards.
  • Develop performance goals and objectives to meet customer demand and ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Work on a 4x3 or 5x2 schedule and rotate shifts at least 2–3 times per year.
  • Work location is in a Fulfillment Center (Cuautitlán Izcalli, Edo. Mex) and is not remote.

Overview

Amazon is looking for high-potential leaders who are ready to own their impact in Amazon Operations as an entry-level manager. You will develop a people-focused leadership style while mastering the tools, processes, and operations that define customer-obsessed fulfillment. The Area Manager leads and develops a team of Amazon Associates in a distribution warehouse environment, focusing on motivation, mentoring, coaching, safety, quality, attendance, performance, and engagement. This role involves ensuring that the team has the tools needed to succeed during each shift and engaging with the team to maintain high safety, quality, and efficiency standards.

What is fulfillment? Fulfillment refers to completing a customer’s Amazon.com order through picking, packing, shipping, and delivering to meet or exceed expectations.

Key responsibilities

A day in the life
  • Review cross-departmental metrics and KPIs from previous shifts.
  • Lead multiple area huddles to align goals, safety priorities, and operational strategies.
  • Conduct Gemba walks to identify process improvements and ensure standardization.
  • Drive problem-solving sessions to address systemic issues affecting multiple areas.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to optimize productivity and quality.
  • Lead critical projects that impact multiple operational areas.

Basic Qualifications
  • 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in English and be able to take direction in English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques experience.
