Servicios Comerciales Amazon Mexico S. de R.L. de C.V. is seeking an Area Manager to lead and develop a large team in a fulfillment center. You will coach, mentor, and ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards are met across shifts.

The role requires 3+ years in people/performace management, a Bachelor’s degree, and strong English communication. Flexibility for weekends and overnight shifts is needed. Join a global leader in online retail operations.

Formación

  • 3+ years of employee and performance management experience.
  • Work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience in English-language communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of 50 to 100 Amazon Associates.
  • Communicate policies and act as the primary information source for the team, ensuring compliance and taking corrective action when needed.
  • Create, manage, and support recognition and communication programs.
  • Support all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Ensure procedures are followed for building security and product loss prevention.
  • Develop performance goals and objectives to achieve customer demand and ensure quality.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives and Lean tools.
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects and track tasks.

As an Area Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead and develop your own team of Amazon Associates in a distribution warehouse environment. Your main focus will be motivating, mentoring and coaching your team. As a servant leader, the Area Manager will ensure that their team of Amazon Associates have all the tools needed to succeed for any task during a shift. Engaging with your team during a shift to ensure that the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance performance and engagement are maintained are core functions of the role. What is fulfillment you ask? Fulfillment is how we refer to completing or fulfilling a customer’s Amazon.com order and the acts of picking, packing, shipping and delivering their order to meet or exceed their expectations!

Job Requirements
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and/or overnight shifts
  • Ability to work overtime both in peak season and as needed
Locations and Placement
  • The position is NOT a corporate role and will be located in a Fulfillment Center
Key job responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of 50 to 100 Amazon Associates
  • Communicate policies to Associates and act as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance, consistency, and taking corrective action when needed
  • Create, manage, and support recognition and communication programs
  • Support all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all Associates
  • Ensure procedures are followed for building security and product loss prevention
  • Partner with the management team to establish and maintain quality control standardsl
  • Develop performance goals and objectives to achieve customer demand and ensure accuracy and quality
  • Proactively identifying and leading process improvement initiatives and Lean tools.
  • Tactical leadership of strategic initiatives.
  • Cross functional coordination and task tracking.
  • Communications across various areas to ensure alignment of goals and tasks to guarantee the overall success of the program.
  • Strategic planning and forecasting to appraise performance and problem resolution.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Management and execution of cross-functional projects or components of large programs including data gathering, manipulation and analysis.
A day in the life

Your day starts with a shift huddle to align on goals and safety. Most of your time is spent on the floor—coaching leaders, monitoring real-time metrics, adjusting labor plans, and removing barriers. You develop your people through feedback and engagement, drive continuous improvement, and ensure the highest safety standards. You close each shift with a clear handoff, owning your area’s results from start to finish. No two days are alike, but your impact is constant.
