Baker Hughes in Ciudad del Carmen, Mexico, seeks a Field Specialist II - DRB to provide practical solutions on the wellsite, analyzing data and coordinating with the drilling team.

You will maintain field equipment, complete documentation for billing, and participate in advanced training to stay current with BHA handling and wellbore placement.

Fluent English and strong teamwork are essential, along with a professional engineering degree and at least one year of drilling bits experience.

Field Specialist – DRB.

Join our Drilling Services Team

As a Drill Bit Field Specialist, you will provide solutions to moderately complex problems on the wellsite, where evaluating situations or data requires reviewing multiple operations factors.

Partner with the best

As a Field Specialist you will develop and demonstrate proficiency in the skill profile required for the delivery of Drill Bits services at the well site.

As a Drill Bit Field Specialist, you will be responsible for:

• Under general supervision provides resolution to problems of moderately complex scope at the well site where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.

• Exercises judgment to determine the appropriate action/troubleshooting at the well site by relying upon hands‑on experience and classroom‑based training of standard principles, theories, concepts and techniques.

• Responsible for knowing the operational status of field equipment at the well site and maintaining when appropriate.

• Execute other related duties as assigned.

• Conducts all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values

• Demonstrating Knowledge over Wellbore Placement

• Ability to work with complex software

• Completing advanced technical training and assigned well‑site development Programs.

• Ensuring and supervising best practices for BHA Handling and make‑up

• Communicating and facilitating continuous improvement

• Responsible for collecting and submitting all field documentation required for the billing process.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills demonstrate excellent customer awareness. Ability to work well and communicate well with others to wellsite personnel at all levels and work within a team environment.

To be successful in this role is mandatory:

• Valid professional degree and licenses are required. Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Electronical) or related.

• More than 1 year of proven experience in Drill Bits Services in the last 10 years verified with employment verification letter and field reports. Positions as Field Specialist, Field Engineer, Field Operator

• Be a Good Communicator and be fluent in English

• Be a good team player and display good communication skills

• Field reports / Tickets that validate the personnel category and experience in drilling operations.

• Seaman’s book.

• Clear copy of official identification (INE or Passport).

• IADC RigPass.

• RMOU course (Platforms and Barges), both sides.

• Certified Signatario Course and ID Card.

• IADC WellSharp Course and ID Card.
