Job summary

Whirlpool Corporation is seeking an Analyst Industrial Designer to support efforts in understanding emerging trends, insights, and design solutions that will shape the next generation of home appliances.

In this role you will create assets from sketches to CAD models, work with marketing, manufacturing, and engineering partners, and collaborate with CMF, UI/UX, and usability teams to deliver immersive experiences that reflect our design philosophy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design from an accredited school.
• 2-5 years of professional design experience in a corporate or consultant environment.
• 3D Computer modeling skills

Responsibilities

• Create assets ranging from conceptual sketches, CAD models, physical prototypes, and high-quality renderings/animations to communicate design intent.
• Work with a variety of process partners to gain an understanding of marketing strategies, manufacturing requirements, and engineering constraints.
• Grow an understanding of our design strategies and philosophies by working with cross-functional design leads.
• Work with design specialists in graphic design, CMF, UI/UX, usability, and craftsmanship to create fully immersive experiences.

This role in summary

Minimum requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design from an accredited school

• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to facilitate communication across different disciplines
• Strong decision-making abilities and self-motivation
