Whirlpool Corporation in the North America and Latin America North region seeks a sourcing professional to lead the LAR North International Supply Chain category. You will manage about $46M in annual spend and coordinate transportation sourcing for Mexico and Latin American countries.

The team you will be a part of

Whirlpool manages Indirect Procurement as a regional function for North America and Latin America North based out of our North American Region (NAR) Headquarters. The Indirect Procurement team manages purchases of indirect materials and services required to design, manufacture, distribute and advertise our products, supporting most functional areas throughout the company.

This Role In Summary

In this role, you and your team will be accountable for the LAR North International Supply Chain category. You will manage approximately ~$46M in annual spend. In addition, this position plays a support role in coordinating transportation sourcing events, rate and contract management for Mexico and Latin American countries.

The ideal candidate will possess the right balance of strategic thought leadership, operational excellence, and commercial business acumen to develop solutions that optimize results for Whirlpool Corporation. You will execute sourcing strategies to deliver a competitive advantage for the company’s current and future product portfolio. This position will engage cross-functional stakeholders and utilize effective Supplier Relationship Management techniques to enhance commercial and operational performance.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for ~$46M annual category spend, supporting Whirlpool’s LAR North Region manufacturing plants and distribution network.
• Developing and implementing the sourcing strategy for the Ocean Freight & Small Parcel subcategories
• Lead fact-based sourcing decisions, negotiate commercial terms, and generate contractual agreements with the supply base
• Drive supplier performance management and build commercial relationships.
• Create, measure, and execute initiatives that optimize cost, quality, and service
• Build cross-functional partnerships across the business and engage Ocean Freight & Small Parcel Operations to generate, and execute solutions to improve Whirlpool Corporation's operational and cost performance.
• Ensure compliance with Global Procurement policies, procedures, and processes.
• Drive continuous improvement of processes related to the sourcing of Ocean Freight & Small Parcel services including, but not limited to contract management, financial forecasting, and supplier performance management.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelors Degree
• English is a must have
• 1+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement or supply chain

• Bachelors Degree in Administration, International Business or Logistics
• Demonstrated practical use of supplier management and sourcing principles
• Proven communication, negotiation, conflict resolution and management skills
• Strong analytical and computer related skills
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple key activities
• Ability to quickly build strong rapport and relationships with internal process partners and suppliers
