HARMAN Lifestyle in Mexico City is seeking a Controlling Business Partner to support monthly closings, validate GL reconciliations, and ensure timely journal entries. You’ll audit local processes and coordinate audits while aligning controls with global standards.

Ideal candidates have accounting credentials, 3+ years in accounting, strong English and Excel, and SAP 4HANA knowledge. The role offers hybrid work three days at the office and opportunities for development within a global tech leader.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly preclosing and closing processes including GL revisions and journal entries posting.
• Review and load GL reconciliations and support documentation.
• Coordinate external and internal audits and validate supports before release.
• Act as local auditor reviewing invoices, Ariba data, and vendor due diligence.
• Update accounting processes and controls per global requirements.

About the Role

The Controlling Business Partner position is responsible for support the area along the monthly closing performing some of the GL´s reconciliations.

This position is in charge of validate and load to BL tool the supports of closing reconciliation for all Controlling team, acting like an auditor for local purposes, assuring that the balances are accuracy, the proper approvals were included and JE were completed timely.

This position will be responsible to update accounting process and controls according to Global requirements.

Will act as a support in the coordination of the local, internal and external audits.

What You Will Do

• Support the monthly preclosing and closing processes including but not limited to GL´s revisions, GL´s reconciliation and JE´s posting.
• Review and Load GL´s reconciliations.
• Support the coordination of the External and Internal Audit processes including the communication with other areas of information to provide, and validating the supports received before are releasing to the auditors.
• Must act like a local auditor controlling realizing monthly review of: 1) Invoices (SO, Prices, PL´s conditions, Delivery, Accounting). 2) Ariba (Invoice, PO´s, RO´s, quotes, approvals).
• Support of Ariba new PO´s creation.
• Review and maintain updated the vendors files and complete yearly due diligence.
• Support the valuation of new vendors.
• Update controlling processes and controls based on Global requirements.

What You Need to Be Successful

• Accountant or related degrees with experience (monthly closing process, audit and analysis).
• 3 or more years of proved experience in accounting area.
