PALO IT is seeking a Tech Lead in Mexico to guide end-to-end delivery of digital products, combining hands-on coding with architectural leadership. You will drive scalable, secure solutions and mentor engineers, while coordinating with Product, QA, UX, and stakeholders to refine scope and governance.

The role emphasizes AI-native engineering practices, strong Java backend skills, and a focus on high-quality, maintainable systems within a global, dynamic team.

Formación

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with proven technical leadership.
• Strong backend expertise in Java (17/21/25+) with solid testing practices (JUnit/Mockito).
• Proven ability to design and communicate software architecture: microservices/modular monoliths, Clean/Hexagonal, SOLID principles, integration patterns, and API design.
• Strong engineering fundamentals: CI/CD, Git workflows, code review practices, observability, security practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to influence decisions and align teams.
• Professional English (B2+ preferred) for global collaboration and documentation.
• Experience in AI-assisted engineering environments and setting quality/security guardrails.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design and evolution of technology solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Drive architectural decisions and trade-offs (e.g., microservices vs modular monolith), applying patterns such as DDD, Clean/Hexagonal Architecture, and event-driven approaches when relevant.
• Design, build, and evolve REST APIs, including versioning, contract-first practices (OpenAPI), backward compatibility, and robust error handling.
• Define and enforce engineering standards: clean code, testing strategy, code reviews, observability, security practices, and CI/CD.
• Mentor and coach engineers, fostering a strong delivery culture and continuously raising the engineering bar.
• Partner with Product, QA, UX, and stakeholders to refine scope, assess technical risks, shape the roadmap, and deliver incrementally.
• Encourage AI-first engineering practices (Copilot/GenAI) with proper governance: quality gates, security, traceability, and testing.
