Job summary

Applaudo Studios is seeking an AI Developer to turn LLMs into reliable, production-ready data logic for a migration platform. You will help generate and review SQL and mappings, review and approve changes, and ensure robust data synchronization across sources and targets.

The role is a 6-month contractor with extension potential, requiring 3+ years in Python, advanced SQL, and production LLM experience. Strong English and autonomy are essential for success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, IS, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of software development with Python.
• Advanced SQL with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and BigQuery.
• 1+ year building production LLM applications.
• Experience integrating hosted LLM APIs with structured output and validation.
• Prompt engineering, versioning, fallback strategies, and latency optimization.
• Ability to understand and modify a partially documented codebase.
• Strong autonomy, attention to detail, and comfort with ambiguity.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare context for migrations with docs, source schema, and target model.
• Design and tune prompts for SQL, mappings, and transformation rules.
• Review generated SQL and mappings against data models.
• Resolve edge cases where identifiers change or constraints conflict.
• Build parameterized queries to detect changes across sources.
• Work with senior dev on safeguards for LLM-generated SQL.
• Automatically classify and document failed syncs and root causes.
• Automate repetitive migration prep tasks and artifact versioning.
