Applaudo Studios is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to build production-grade LLM applications and agentic AI systems. You will design, implement, and optimize AI capabilities powering conversational experiences and intelligent workflows. The role requires collaboration with a small team and strong ownership of production decisions.

You will work in a contractor model and align with U.S. Eastern Time for availability, contributing to architecture discussions and delivering scalable AI solutions

Qualifications

• Strong experience building production-grade LLM and agentic AI applications.
• Must have authored/built an MCP server deployed in production used by others.
• Significant brownfield experience adding features to a production Python codebase.
• Experience designing and deploying conversational or agentic AI solutions.
• Strong prompt engineering, LLM integrations, and evaluation methodologies.
• Excellent spoken English (B2+) for live discussions with US-based stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Build and maintain MCP servers, tool and resource definitions, and context management capabilities.
• Design evaluation, classification, and routing workflows across multiple sources.
• Integrate Anthropic and OpenAI models into production environments.
• Manage prompt versioning, fallbacks, and LLM performance.
• Develop evaluation frameworks to monitor model quality and production performance.
• Write SQL against model inputs/outputs to support evaluation.
• Collaborate with software engineers and AI specialists to deliver production-ready AI solutions.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to AI platform design.
• Continuously improve AI systems through experimentation and engineering best practices.
