Job summary

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 10+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 7+ years.
• Proven engineering team leadership, including work assignment, deliverable reviews, and performance management.
• Aerospace engineering experience with aircraft structures, parts, or components.
• Experience with component qualification, validation, and testing.
• Engineering investigation experience including root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the engineering team by setting goals, prioritizing work, and mentoring staff.
• Plan and coordinate engineering activities, resources, and priorities to meet program milestones and deliverables.
• Coordinate development, value engineering, producibility, and testing with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Provide direction for design changes, qualification, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Establish metrics and reports to drive improvements in on-time delivery and productivity.
