Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking a PTO/Equip Sr Manager to provide technical and organizational leadership for engineering activities across product development, producibility, testing, qualification, and program execution.

You will lead and develop engineering teams, coordinate cross-functional efforts, manage technical deliverables and budgets, and drive improvements in OTD, FPY, and margins. 20% travel possible domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 10+ years? relevant experience, or advanced degree with 7+ years.
• Experience leading engineering teams and delivering technical work.
• Aerospace experience with aircraft structures and components.
• Experience in qualification, validation, and testing of components.
• Root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action implementation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the engineering team by setting goals and priorities.
• Plan and coordinate engineering activities to meet milestones and deliverables.
• Coordinate Development, Value Engineering, Producibility, and Testing with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Drive closure of technical challenges with guidance across disciplines.
• Coordinate design and stress analysis activities, reviews, milestones, and deliverables.
• Establish metrics and monitor OTD, FPY, productivity, and turnback reduction.
• Create and execute low-cost sourcing plans and manage indirect spending.
• Communicate goals and program updates to senior leadership.
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 20% as required by business needs.
