Vertiv seeks a Discrete Event Simulation (DES) Lead to develop and deploy global factory simulation and digital twin capabilities. You will establish standards, govern models, and guide capacity planning, staffing optimization, and scenario-based decisions across Vertiv’s production facilities.
The role requires expertise in DES platforms such as Simio or equivalent, along with data-driven modeling of BoP and manufacturing processes to support investment decisions and operational excellence.
The Discrete Event Simulation (DES) Lead will be responsible for developing and deploying Vertiv’s global factory simulation and digital twin capabilities. This role serves as the technical authority for manufacturing system modeling, capacity planning, bottleneck analysis, staffing optimization, and scenario based decision support across all production facilities.
The DES Lead will establish and maintain global simulation standards, create scalable simulation architectures, and ensure simulation is integrated into the NPDI process, manufacturing process design, and factory transformation initiatives. The role will leverage discrete event simulation platforms (Simio or equivalent), operational data, manufacturing Bills of Process (BoP), and digital manufacturing ecosystems to create accurate predictive models that support investment decisions, capacity expansion, labor planning, and operational excellence.
