Job summary

Adient plc in Lerma, Mexico is seeking an AME to complete all advanced manufacturing deliverables for a program to develop and launch the manufacturing process. You will lead process design, DFMA, PFMEA, and line balance to meet labor targets and quality standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, strong English/Spanish, and 5+ years in automotive interiors with experience in capital equipment, CAD layouts, and cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical preferred).
• Bi-Lingual English/Spanish.
• Minimum 5 years of industry experience - automotive interiors experience preferred.
• Experience with seating products (desired).
• PFMEA development.
• MODAPTS or equivalent training/certification (Wish).
• Direct and indirect labor analysis and planning.
• Equipment specification, ordering, run-off, installation and qualification.
• Capital equipment budget planning and tracking.
• Strong computer skills with ability to quickly learn new software/applications.
• Ability to draw two dimensional layouts in CAD software.
• Analytical problem solving.
• Design for assembly and manufacturing.
• Project management - plan development and execution.
• Communication.
• Ability to work with the customer, program, designers and commercial team.
• Leadership with supplier and internal teams.
• Leadership of ramp-up, problem solving, and stabilization.
• Cross-functional manufacturability reviews with designers.
• PLC knowledge and programming desire.

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing processes with DFAM, process flow, and labor planning.
• Coordinate equipment specification, run-off, installation and qualification.
• Perform PFMEA development and quality targets alignment.
• Lead cross-functional reviews with designers, suppliers and teams.
• Support ramp-up and stabilization of production lines.
