IBM Consulting in Mexico is seeking a Telecom Analyst to support the management and optimization of telecommunications services, ensuring accurate invoice processing, billing validation, inventory control, and vendor coordination.

You will collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Delivery teams, and external partners to ensure telecom expenses are accurately managed and aligned with operational requirements, using SAP, Excel, and TEM tools.

Formación

• Experience in telecommunications billing operations including Wireless and Wireline services.
• Experience with invoice validation, reconciliation, tracking and dispute resolution.
• Experience managing telecom inventory including account, service and asset validation.
• Hands-on experience with SAP, Microsoft Excel, and TEM platforms (Tangoe or similar).
• Strong analytical skills to analyze large billing and inventory data and identify root causes.

Your Role And Responsibilities

The Telecom Analyst is responsible for supporting the management and optimization of telecommunications services by ensuring accurate invoice processing, billing validation, inventory control, vendor coordination, and operational reporting.

This role ensures visibility and control over telecom expenses, supports business continuity, and enables cost optimization through accurate data management, issue resolution, and effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.

The Telecom Analyst will work closely with Finance, Procurement, Delivery teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure telecom services and expenses are accurately managed and aligned with operational requirements.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• Experience in telecommunications billing operations, including Wireless and Wireline services.
• Experience with invoice validation, reconciliation, tracking, and dispute resolution.
• Experience managing telecom inventory, including account, service, and asset validation.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP, Microsoft Excel, and Telecom Expense Management (TEM) platforms, preferably Tangoe or similar tools.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze large volumes of billing and inventory data, identify discrepancies, and determine root causes.
• Experience managing Non‑PO invoices and coordinating invoice‑related activities with Finance, Procurement, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Experience preparing and maintaining operational reports, dashboards, trackers, and KPI/SLA metrics.
• Strong follow‑up and issue‑resolution skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines.
• Experience supporting process transitions, data migrations, knowledge transfers, and operational handovers.
• Ability to document processes, identify improvement opportunities, and contribute to process standardization and automation initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience working with global teams and international clients.
• Advanced English proficiency, both written and verbal, required for daily communication with international clients, vendors, and stakeholders.
