Formación

Resumen

Is responsible for processing, reviewing, and analyzing accounts payable transactions to ensure accurate and timely payments to suppliers. This position supports the manufacturing operation by maintaining accurate financial records, resolving invoice discrepancies, and collaborating with Purchasing, Receiving, Finance, and other departments.

Responsabilidades

Mains Responsibilities

• Review, validate, and process supplier invoices in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Perform three-way matching between purchase orders, receipts, and supplier invoices.
• Identify and resolve invoice, pricing, quantity, and receiving discrepancies.
• Process supplier payments accurately and within established deadlines.
• Reconcile supplier statements and investigate outstanding balances.
• Follow up on invoices pending approval or documentation.
• Maintain accurate accounts payable records and supporting documentation.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding payment status, invoice discrepancies, and account reconciliation.
• Work closely with Purchasing, Receiving, Finance, and other departments to resolve payment-related issues.
• Support month-end closing activities and accounts payable reconciliations.
• Prepare accounts payable reports and aging analyses as required.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and audit requirements.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and information as requested.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounts payable processes and efficiency.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounting, or a related financial role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of accounts payable processes and basic accounting principles.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• English proficiency preferred for communication with suppliers and corporate teams.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a multinational manufacturing company.
• Experience with high-volume invoice processing.
• Knowledge of purchase orders, receiving processes, and three-way matching.
• Experience with month-end closing, supplier reconciliations, and audit support.

In this position, you will partner with cross-functional teams to monitor product costs, support planning processes, manage inventory controls, and provide financial insights that help drive informed business decisions.

What You Will Do

• Manage the annual standard cost roll-up process and maintain accurate product cost structures within financial systems.
• Monitor monthly and year-to-date manufacturing costs; coordinate updates to bills of materials and routing structures with operations teams.
• Support annual budgeting and monthly forecasting activities for the assigned business unit.
• Coordinate annual physical inventory counts and cycle count programs, including variance analysis and follow-up actions.
• Track cost reduction initiatives and report progress against established budget and productivity targets.
• Prepare, analyze, and submit financial and operational metrics through corporate reporting systems.
• Execute month-end close activities, including cost accounting entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and fixed asset depreciation.
• Prepare plant performance reports, capital expenditure requests, return-on-investment analyses, system-related accounting support, and ad hoc financial reporting for leadership.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Cost Accounting.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar accounting platforms.

Associate Finance Manager (Onsite) (Cost Accounting)

This role leads cost accounting activities within a manufacturing environment, leveraging strong SAP expertise to manage product costing, inventory control, manufacturing variances, and financial compliance, in close partnership with operations.

What you will do

• Serve as a trusted subject matter expert on material characteristics, MRO, and production processes for internal customers, ensuring accurate and reliable operational knowledge.
• Own product cost analysis and SAP ERP reporting, ensuring accurate cost roll‑ups, inventory balances, manufacturing and price variances, and providing key insights to operations and finance leadership to support annual roll‑up activities and cost accuracy.
• Design, maintain, and analyze ERP and operational data, ensuring data integrity, effective reporting, and seamless integration of information to support finance analysts and business objectives.
• Design and improve operational procedures and processes to meet audit standards, enhance efficiency, and ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
• Manage one direct report, providing guidance, oversight, and performance support.
• Participate in annual audits and special projects, working closely with internal teams and external auditors or consultants to provide required information and ensure accurate historical recordkeeping.

What you need

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Public Accounting or equivalent).
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in Finance and Cost Accounting roles.
• Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a solid background in General Accounting and Cost Accounting.
• Knowledge of Mexican accounting standards and U.S. GAAP.
• People management experience
• Bilingual Spanish-English, with advanced English proficiency (minimum B2 level).
• Strong knowledge of SAP ERP.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
