Job summary

CobaltoTalent is seeking a Staff Accountant to work 100% remotely from Mexico for US-based clients. You will manage month-end close, reconcile accounts, prepare monthly statements, and support year-end processes with external CPAs.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in accounting/finance, have 3+ years of general accounting, in-depth US GAAP knowledge, strong English, and advanced Excel skills. Experience with US clients and software like QuickBooks Online or NetSuite is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting (Contaduría Pública) or finance.
• 3+ years in general accounting with ownership of month-end close.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP concepts: accrual accounting, revenue recognition, balance sheet reconciliations.
• Intermediate-to-advanced English (B2+) for written reports and calls with the controller.
• Advanced Excel: pivot tables, lookups, building reconciliation schedules.
