Job summary

Anton Oilfield Services Group in Kuwait seeks an experienced Instrumentation Engineer to lead maintenance teams and manage instrumentation systems across PLC, DCS, SCADA, and ESD networks.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering, 8+ years in instrumentation and control maintenance, and 4+ years in Oil & Gas or similar facilities. CMMS proficiency and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years in instrumentation and control system maintenance; 4+ in Oil & Gas/petrochemical or similar facilities.
  • Experience with field instrumentation, PLC, DCS, SCADA, ESD and industrial control systems.
  • Proficient in CMMS for asset and maintenance management.
  • Strong preventive maintenance, calibration and reliability knowledge.
  • Experience documenting technical records and as-built drawings.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills; safety-focused.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead instrumentation and control maintenance teams to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic, and electrical instrumentation and control systems.
  • Maintain and support PLC, DCS, SCADA, ESD, fire & gas detection, and other industrial control systems.
  • Develop and maintain equipment records, asset information, and maintenance documentation within a CMMS.
  • Maintain and update as-built drawings, technical documentation, and equipment catalogs.
  • Develop preventive maintenance programs and identify manpower, materials, and spare parts requirements.
  • Perform and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of instrumentation, control systems, and protective devices.
  • Diagnose instrumentation and control system faults and recommend corrective actions to improve system reliability.
  • Coordinate instrument testing, calibration, repair activities, and maintenance planning.
  • Prepare maintenance reports, shutdown analyses, failure investigations, corrective maintenance reports, and equipment history records.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, permit-to-work procedures, and maintenance best practices.
  • Coordinate audit compliance activities and implement corrective actions where required.
  • Develop and deliver technical training and induction programs for maintenance personnel.
  • Monitor maintenance performance and provide regular updates on manpower utilization, spare parts consumption, and maintenance activities.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Supervise and lead instrumentation and control maintenance teams to ensure safe and efficient operations.

  3. Strong experience maintaining field instrumentation, PLC, DCS, SCADA, ESD, fire & gas systems, and industrial control systems.
  4. Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for asset and maintenance management.
  5. Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance, calibration, fault diagnosis, and instrumentation reliability.
  6. Experience maintaining technical documentation, equipment records, and as-built drawings.
  7. Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  8. Good understanding of industrial safety standards, permit-to-work systems, and maintenance best practices.
