Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts in Kuwait is seeking a vigilant Security Officer to patrol public areas, back-of-house, accommodation, and perimeter areas, while monitoring CCTV and securing access points. The role includes assisting guests, logging incidents, and coordinating with Front Office, Housekeeping and Engineering to ensure safety and service excellence.

The successful candidate will maintain a visible presence, remain calm under pressure, and communicate effectively in English (Arabic a plus).

Qualifications

• Experience in Security, Loss Prevention or similar, preferably in hospitality.
• Basic knowledge of safety, security and fire procedures.
• Good communication in English; Arabic is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols of hotel areas.
• Monitor CCTV and report irregularities.
• Secure access points, doors and emergency exits.
• Verify identifications before granting access.
• Maintain presence in lobby and key areas.
• Assist guests with directions and inquiries.
• Record incidents in the security logbook.
• Inspect fire safety equipment.
• Respond to alarms and disturbances.
• Support crowd control during events.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping and Engineering.
• Perform locker room and facility checks.
