Job summary

Club Xcite is seeking a dedicated Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TVI) for a full-time, school-based opportunity with the Santa Barbara County Education Office for the 2026–2027 school year. This role involves working with K–12 students across Santa Barbara County to provide specialized instruction and support that helps students access their education and reach their individual goals.

The position starts ASAP with an end date of June 4, 2027, offering 40 hours per week,

Qualifications

California credential to serve as TVI.
Experience with students who are blind or visually impaired preferred.
Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring.
Ability to provide individualized and specialized instruction.
Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively with students, families, teachers, related service providers, and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Provide specialized instruction and support to K–12 students who are blind or visually impaired.
Develop, implement, and monitor student IEP goals.
Adapt instructional materials and educational environments based on individual student needs.
Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers.
Monitor and document student progress.
Provide services across assigned school sites throughout Santa Barbara County.
Promote student independence, accessibility, and participation within the educational environment.
