Job summary

Tutor Me Education in Colorado seeks a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for a full‑time, in‑person role for the 2026‑2027 school year. You will support students aged 0–21 who are blind or visually impaired with instruction, accommodations, and advocacy.

You will collaborate with families, classroom teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure equal access to curriculum, braille, assistive technology, ECC, and IEP goals.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in special education visual impairment (or equivalent) per CDE.
• Successful completion of an approved program for special education specialists visually impaired with field experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct Instruction: braille reading/writing, assistive tech, ECC.
• IEP Management: write, implement, and monitor goals.
• Collaboration & Consultation: adapt materials with teachers and families.
• Advocacy & Accessibility: ensure accessible environments and instruction.
