Qualifications

• State Certification for teaching visually impaired (TVI) as required by the state of California.
• Bachelor's degree in Special Education; Master’s preferred.
• DOJ/FBI Live Scan background and TB clearance as applicable by state.

Responsibilities

• IEP development with measurable goals based on assessments.
• Teach braille, orientation and mobility, and use of visual aids.
• Curriculum development and classroom consultation.
• Maintain positive classroom management and document progress.
• Ensure compliance with state timelines and attend required meetings.
