AKQA Frontend Developers are inspired by technology and have a passion for creating innovative technical solutions. We are looking for an established practitioner of the latest web technologies; building best in class applications, serving users on the modern web landscape, whatever that may be.

In this role, you will contribute to design and develop complex ecosystems, within local and international projects with heavily experiential UI designs.

Based in either our studio in Milan or in Venice (at H-Farm Campus), you will work in an environment that fosters a dynamic and meritocratic culture, surrounded by some of the brightest minds in their fields.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• Work hands-on with the development of a range of solutions including website, web apps, CI pipelines, micro services.
• Collaborate with designers to translate UI / UX wireframes into interactive web pages.
• Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate APIs and other services.
• Work closely with others departments to ensure good collaboration across all disciplines and to facilitate the solving of day-to-day challenges.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI / UX designs.
• Debug and resolve front-end issues.
• Write reusable code and libraries.
• Contribute to minimise technical risk and ensure a high-quality output.
• Commit to performance, code quality, good practice and delivering high end products.
• Proactively plan activities according to goals and deadlines, while always ensuring a high level of quality.

QUALITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS

• Open minded and collaborative attitude

• Boundlessly creative and relentlessly attentive to detail
• Experience with modern frontend libraries like React.js / Vue.js
• Knowledge of modern frontend Framework like Next.js / Nuxt.js
• Knowledge of advanced animation techniques (CSS, SVG, springs, canvas...)
• Proficient with the GIT and its related tooling (branching flow, CLI commands etc.)
• Knowledge of Figma design tool
• Familiarity with Atlassian Tools (Jira, Confluence) would be also beneficial
• Experience with CI, CD and / or Unit Testing would also be beneficial
• Nice to have : Development of 3D experiences (ThreeJS, Unity, Blender etc.)
