Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.? Vishay Italy is currently seeking applicants for Senior Analog Layout Engineer . To join our team, that is involved in development of integrated circuits at the heart of modern power systems.

In this position, the successful candidate will work with an experienced team and be exposed to the entire product lifecycle from definition and requirements through IC design to silicon support.

This is a varied role with real impact on the business development of the organization.

Job Location:

The VISHAY IC Design Team located In Northern Italy will be tasked of defining/designing and bringing to production complex analog & mixed power management ICs that are going to be at the core of – but not limited to - High Peformance Computing systems.

What you will be doing:

• Produce high quality layout for typical IP blocks that can be found in power management IC designs, like bandgaps, current sense amplifiers, gate drivers, oscillators, amplifiers and comparators
• Work with the design lead to lay out chip floorplan, power routing, and implement ESD layout strategy.
• Be able to execute proficiently all layout checks (DRC, ERC, LVS, etc.) at both IP level and top level.
• Be well aware of latchup related issues, particularly for high voltage application (60V and beyond).

What you will bring along:

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related and 10+ years of design layout experience in Power Management ICs and Switch Mode Power Supply ICs.
• Very good understanding of best practice for the execution of IP and top level layout.
• Good experience with principal layout cad tools (Mentor, Cadence).
• Knowledge of cadence SKILL scripting language or equivalent is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
