Software Architect – Native Mobile Apps (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Lead Mobile Architect with a passion for innovative solutions to join our team and take charge of the architecture of our mobile apps for elevator passengers.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Architect the Future: Lead the design and evolution of software architecture for mobile apps, ensuring they are scalable, sustainable, and in alignment with Schindler’s business and technology strategies
• Global Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders across different teams to define architectural requirements, shape the technology roadmap, and ensure alignment with Schindler’s overall platform architecture and cloud integration
• Technical Leadership: Provide hands-on guidance and leadership to development teams, ensuring the successful implementation of architectures and designs in a fast-paced, international setting. Shape the vision for state-of-the-art mobile architecture and adoption of best practices
• Ensure Excellence: Oversee the quality of implementations, collaborating with testers, requirements engineers, and implementing automated tests for continuous integration. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
• Shape Cutting-Edge Apps: Drive development with a focus on exceptional user experiences, leveraging the latest technologies, frameworks, and best practices for iOS and Android apps. Ensure seamless integration with cloud backends and related products.

What You Need to Succeed:

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or related field;
• Experience in mobile app development, architecture, and leading teams technically;
• Passion for Mobile: Demonstrated enthusiasm for mobile app development and delivering exceptional user experiences;
• Proven Leadership: Track record of successfully leading software engineering teams and guiding technical decisions;
• Cutting-Edge Skills: Deep knowledge of mobile development (Swift, Kotlin), user experience design, test automation, and app analytics;
• Architectural Expertise: Strong understanding of software architecture, cloud interfaces, APIs, and system design principles;
• Global Teamwork: Proven ability to collaborate across international, distributed teams, adapting to changing priorities in fast-paced environments;
• Agile Mindset: Comfortable working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments, driving results and continuous improvements;
• Cybersecurity Insight: Experience with product security and secure development lifecycle (ideal);
• Language Skills: Fluency in English is a must.
