About Aethos Monterosa

In the middle of the Aosta Valley below the Monte Rosa and Cervino glaciers lies Aethos Monterosa. A 30-room five-star luxury resort with two F&B outlets, a SPA, and its own climbing and ice climbing wall.

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Director of Operations to oversee the daily operations of our hotel in Monterosa. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences, optimizing operational efficiency, and driving financial performance. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for hospitality.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all operational departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Maintenance, and Spa & Wellness services.
• Ensure smooth day-to-day hotel operations by maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and efficiency across all departments.
• Develop and implement operational procedures to enhance productivity and streamline workflows.
• Monitor and improve guest satisfaction scores by addressing feedback, resolving issues promptly, and enhancing service quality.
• Ensure optimal room occupancy and revenue management in collaboration with the Sales and Revenue Management teams.
• Coordinate with the Food & Beverage team to ensure seamless restaurant and banquet operations, maintaining high-quality dining experiences.
• Supervise housekeeping operations to guarantee impeccable room cleanliness and maintenance, meeting brand standards.
• Ensure proper upkeep of the property, liaising with the Maintenance team to implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers to optimize costs and service quality.
• Implement and maintain health, safety, and compliance standards in line with company policies and local regulations.
• Drive employee engagement and development through training programs, performance evaluations, and talent retention strategies.
• Identify areas for operational improvement and implement innovative solutions.
• Collaborate with the General Manager in strategic planning and decision-making.

Core Competencies

• Fluent in English & Italian is a must
• Proven experience in a senior hotel operations role, preferably as Director of Operations or similar position.
• Strong knowledge of hotel management, revenue optimization, and guest experience enhancement.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
• Good financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach to operational challenges.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English and Italian; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
