Job summary

VRS Recruitment is seeking a Product Specialist / Field Service Engineer for X-ray analytical instrumentation based in Catania, Sicily. You will install, commission and service high-value systems used in semiconductor and research environments, traveling regularly across Italy.

You will train on the job and at manufacturers’ facilities, becoming the technical face for customers while supporting installation, training and long-term service.

Qualifications

• Experience in troubleshooting or technical support.
• Basic knowledge of electronics and instrument diagnostics.
• Working English is used in daily work.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission X-ray analytical instruments at customer sites.
• Diagnose and repair faults, perform maintenance on systems.
• Train users and act as product specialist for equipment capabilities.
• Travel around Sicily/Italy (70–75%), with occasional longer trips.
• Learn on the job with factory training in the United States, Germany or Japan.
