Saipem in Milan invites applications for a Well Control Equipment Engineer within the Drilling Offshore Business Line. You will deliver specialized technical support for drilling BOP and well control equipment on our offshore fleet, planning routine and extraordinary maintenance and overseeing lifecycle phases from design to testing.
Travel is essential, including domestic, international, and offshore assignments up to six months.

As Well Control Equipment Engineer you will be part of the Drilling Offshore Business Line.
You will provide specialized technical support for the Drilling BOP (Blow Out Preventer) and Well Control equipment in use onboard Saipem Drilling Offshore fleet.
You will be responsible for developing technical expertise to plan and manage both routine and extraordinary maintenance. Additionally, the candidate will oversee the design, production, installation, and testing phases of such equipment.
Periodic assessments will ensure the equipment complies with the latest relevant industry regulations (e.g., DNV, ABS, API, Norsok), and you will implement technical specifications for relevant upgrades as needed. In this role, you will require interdepartmental collaboration with colleagues from several departments of the Company (Operations, Onboard Personnel, Commercial, and Procurement) and you'll be required to travel within Italy, abroad, and offshore facilities. For specific or high-priority projects, travel assignments may extend up to six months.
Flexibility and strong teamwork skills are essential for success in this position.
Education: Master's Degree/bachelor's degree in: Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Naval Engineering
Bachelor Degree is considered minimum requirement.
Master Degree is preferable
Background: 0-2 Years
International experiences, including Erasmus exchange programs, internships, and periods of study abroad, are regarded as valuable qualifications and will be positively considered as part of the candidate evaluation process.
Languages: Fluent Enghish in speaking and writing (B1-B2)
Technical/IT Knowledge: Outlook, Microsoft 365, AutoCAD
Travel is often required, in Country, Worldwide and Offshore location.
Duration of travel assigment can vary from few days up to six months, depending on criticality of the project. On average, over a year, a Well Control Equipment Engineer spends 4 months or more in travel assigment.
