Job summary

Iveco Group in Italy seeks an extracurricular intern to support cost reduction initiatives, focusing on idea generation and early evaluation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.

You'll work with suppliers, analyze proposals, issue RFIs, maintain alignment with Sourcing on Should Cost projects, track initiatives, and report progress to stakeholders while gaining exposure to international procurement.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recent graduate in SCM, Engineering, Business or related field.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Fluency in English; proficient with MS Office; BI knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to generate and evaluate cost reduction ideas.
• Analyze supplier proposals, specifications, and technical data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare and distribute RFIs (Requests for Information) to gather preliminary information on potential cost reduction solutions.
• Maintain alignment with Sourcing Areas on Should Cost projects and supplier communications.
• Support cross-functional communication among teams working on key projects.
• Track cost reduction initiatives and prepare documentation for handover to execution teams.
• Update relevant stakeholders on cost targets and potential opportunities.
• Contribute to the development of the company's overall cost reduction strategy.

Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Extracurricular Intern to support our cost reduction initiatives, focusing primarily on idea generation and the early evaluation phases. The intern will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and develop cost-saving opportunities.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to generate and evaluate technical cost reduction ideas
• Analyze supplier proposals, specifications, and technical data to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Prepare and distribute RFIs (Requests for Information) to gather preliminary information on potential cost reduction solutions
• Maintain alignment with Sourcing Areas on Should Cost projects and supplier communications
• Support cross-functional communication among teams working on key projects
• Track cost reduction initiatives and prepare documentation for handover to execution teams
• Update relevant stakeholders on cost targets and potential opportunities

EDUCATION & SKILLS

• Currently pursuing or recently graduated from a degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Basic understanding of procurement processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, advanced BI systems is a plus
• Ability to work in a dynamic team environment
• English fluency is a must
