Pirelli & C. S.p.A. is seeking a motivated intern to join their Purchasing team in Milan. This role offers hands-on experience in sourcing activities and supplier management within a dynamic environment. You will work closely with a tutor and engage in activities from identification of cost-saving opportunities to managing supplier assessments.

The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s degree in engineering or economics and be fluent in both English and Italian. Proficiency in Office applications is also required, with a commitment to personal and professional development highlighted.

• Master's degree in engineering or economics required.
• Fluency in both English and Italian is mandatory.
• Strong skills in office software such as Excel and PowerPoint are essential.

• Identify spending areas and organize buying processes.
• Perform cost analysis and benchmark setting.

You will join the Purchasing team, within the Industrial services department, and will have the opportunity to be involved in all the activities related to the sourcing cycle, according to company needs and to the general agreements with the suppliers. This internship offers hands‑on experience, providing a unique opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

You will collaborate with your tutor in:

• Identification of spending areas and organization of buying processes with the goal of identifying cost savings.
• Activities like cost analysis and set of appropriate benchmarks.
• Supporting the internal reporting of results and elaborate periodic KPIs.
• Cooperating with Regional procurement teams and other internal functions (e.g., Legal, Tax, Administration, R&D, Manufacturing)
• Supplier management and continuous evaluation/assessment of supplier performance.
