Job summary

Kuka Systems GMBH Branch Office Paris is seeking a technically skilled support engineer to assist on-site technicians in Maranello, Italy. You will troubleshoot systems, restore operations, and work with Quality and Engineering to identify recurring issues for continuous improvement.

Fluent English is required; on-call rotation (7-day shifts) may apply to provide remote assistance outside normal hours. CCNL Metalmeccanico compensation applies based on experience and location.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of relational database analysis and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Basic knowledge of software development (VB6, C++, C#).
• Experience in troubleshooting software, drivers, and hardware in Windows environments.
• Basic PLC knowledge (Siemens/Beckhoff).
• Understanding of electrical/mechanical schematics and mechatronics.

Primary goals for this role include:

• Provide technical support to on-site technicians.
• Assist in system troubleshooting and restoration activities.
• Identify and report recurring issues to Quality and Engineering teams, contributing to continuous product improvement, enhanced quality, and increased safety.

Application Requirements

• Good knowledge of relational database analysis and programming, particularly Microsoft SQL Server.
• Basic knowledge of software development, preferably in VB6, C++, and C#.
• Experience in computer troubleshooting, including software and driver installation/configuration, and hardware component replacement in a Microsoft Windows environment.
• Basic knowledge of PLC systems, including configuration, operation, and troubleshooting (Siemens and Beckhoff preferred).
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Basic mechatronic knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong customer focus with the ability to understand and respond to customer needs and expectations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and business partners.
• Fluent written and spoken English is required.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call support rotation (7-day shifts), providing remote assistance outside regular business hours for urgent customer issues.

Compensation for this position is based on CCNL Metalmeccanico. The salary will be determined based on objective, job-related criteria, including relevant experience, skills, role scope, location, internal equity and applicable pay policy/collective agreement provisions.
