Job summary

Alfa Laval Mid Europe GmbH in San Bonifacio, Italy, seeks a Technology Area Leader to drive development of brazed heat exchangers, translate customer needs into R&D requirements, and lead cross-functional teams across R&D, Product Management, Sales, and Manufacturing.

You will perform CFD simulations, thermal prognosis, testing, and documentation, with international collaboration mainly with Sweden. Fluent in English required; Master’s in Engineering.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering or related field is required.
• Experience with CFD simulations is essential.
• Strong knowledge of heat exchanger design and thermodynamics.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer applications to identify opportunities for product and process innovation.
• Lead Technology Development projects within cross-functional teams focusing on thermal aspects.
• Perform thermal prognosis, test specs, evaluations and problem solving.
• Run CFD simulations for heat transfer in single/double phase flows.
• Define tests and evaluate results in the 2-phase lab.
• Collaborate with R&D, Product Management, Sales, and Manufacturing.
• Improve design and process to boost performance and value.
• Track industry trends and emerging heat exchanger tech.
• Pursue innovation opportunities in development.
• Produce technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Share knowledge and build competence across the org.
• Coordinate international collaboration, mainly with Sweden.
