Job summary

Alfa Laval, a global leader in heat exchanger technology, seeks an experienced Technology Area Leader in San Bonifacio (VR), Italy. You will spearhead development of advanced brazed heat exchanger technologies and translate customer needs into robust R&D requirements.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical or related)
• PhD or several years of experience in the competence field
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) with ability to work in international teams

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer applications to identify opportunities for product and process innovation
• Participate in Technology Development projects in cross-functional teams focusing on thermal aspects
• Conduct thermal prognosis, test specification, evaluations and problem solving
• Perform CFD simulations of heat transfer in single- and two-phase flows
• Specify and follow tests in the 2-phase laboratory and evaluate results
• Collaborate with R&D, Product Management, Sales and Manufacturing to translate customer needs into technical solutions
• Pursue innovation to improve product performance and value
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices for heat exchangers
• Prepare technical documentation and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
• Share knowledge and contribute to competence development across the organization
• Engage in international collaboration (mainly with Sweden)
