Jobtailor is seeking a Post-Harvest Operations Specialist to support European packhouses and lead cold chain initiatives across Europe. You will monitor stock, coordinate trials, and collaborate with innovation teams to improve storage performance.

With 3-5 years in post-harvest operations and a background in applied or biological sciences, you will travel within Italy and Europe as required, bringing strong data analysis and reporting skills to the role.

Competenze

• 3-5 years of experience in post-harvest operations.
• Knowledge of kiwifruit production systems, pre- and post-harvest processes, cold store operations and inventory management.
• Strong analytical capability to interpret data, identify trends and understand interdependencies.
• Clean driving licence and willingness to travel within Italy, Europe and beyond.
• Flexibility around working hours, including peak season work and some weekends.
• Degree in Applied Sciences or Biological Sciences.

Mansioni

• Lead cold chain management activities, including stock monitoring and support for European packhouses.
• Ensure cold chain integrity across truck, vessel and container movements.
• Develop and manage the Long-Term Storage trial programme across Europe.
• Drive execution of the Smart Monitoring Storage Library programme in France, Italy and Greece.
• Coordinate storage trial resources with internal teams and external partners.
• Collaborate with Innovation and Global Technical teams to develop future storage trials.
• Identify and trial new post-harvest technologies with universities, suppliers and Zespri teams.
• Build capability with suppliers, laboratories and packhouse teams to lift post-harvest performance.
• Analyse and report trial outcomes in a structured, searchable format.
