Optify Search are currently partnered with a leading global manufacturer of specialty ingredients, who are looking to hire a Technical Business Development Manager to support the continued growth of their specialty chemicals and personal care portfolio across Europe.

Responsibilities

• Drive commercial growth across key strategic accounts, developing long-term partnerships and expanding market share
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, positioning the business as a trusted partner in innovation and formulation development
• Identify and develop new business opportunities through consultative engagement around market trends, product performance, and customer needs
• Work cross-functionally with internal teams including R&D, Product Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain to deliver successful projects and aligned account strategies
• Support customers on technical discussions related to formulations and ingredient applications
• Represent the business at industry events, trade shows, and technical seminars to enhance market presence
• Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and account planning to support sustainable growth

Qualifications

• Scientific Background: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field
• Industry Experience: Proven experience within FMCG company with in depth technical and formulation experience.
• Technical & Commercial Expertise: Strong understanding of formulations, ingredient functionality, and market dynamics, with the ability to translate technical concepts into commercial opportunities
