Job summary

Argotec is seeking an enthusiastic Supply Chain Expediter to join our Logistics Department in Italy. You will help ensure the timely availability of materials by actively monitoring supplier performance and managing delivery commitments through SAP Business One.

Collaborating with Planning, Purchasing, Production and Quality & Incoming Inspection teams, you will analyze supplier backlogs, flag risks, re-schedule or seek alternatives, and prepare delivery status reports to support on-time

Qualifications

• Experience in operational Supply Chain, Expediting or procurement roles.
• Hands-on SAP Business One experience with PO management and supplier confirmations.
• Understanding of MRP flows and make-to-order/project-based production environments.
• Strong ownership and accountability for delivery commitments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor purchase orders and delivery dates using SAP Business One.
• Follow up with suppliers to confirm delivery dates and manage delays.
• Update order status with confirmed dates, delays or early deliveries.
• Analyze backlogs and identify high‑risk orders affecting production.
• Collaborate with Planning, Purchasing, Production and Quality teams.
• Flag risks related to critical materials and long lead-time components.
• Support recovery actions like rescheduling or alternative sourcing.
• Prepare delivery status reports and updates from SAP Business One.
• Support supplier audits or on-site visits when required.

Job description

To support our Company’s growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic Supply Chain Expediter who will be part of our Logistic Department contributing to the support metrology activities, contributing to the timely availability of materials through structured supplier expediting activities and close collaboration with internal stakeholders.

DUTIES

As a Supply Chain Expediter , you will be responsible for ensuring that purchased materials are delivered on time by actively monitoring supplier performance and managing delivery commitments through SAP Business One.

The activities will include (but are not limited to):

• Monitor purchase orders and delivery dates using SAP Business One, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information;
• Actively follow up with suppliers via email, calls and meetings to confirm delivery dates, manage delays and anticipate risks;
• Update order status in the system, including confirmed dates, delays and early deliveries;
• Analyze supplier backlogs and identify critical or high-risk orders impacting production or project milestones;
• Collaborate closely with Planning, Purchasing, Production and Quality & Incoming Inspection teams to ensure material availability;
• Proactively flag risks related to critical materials and long lead-time components;
• Support recovery actions such as re-scheduling, prioritization or alternative sourcing solutions;
• Prepare delivery status reports and expediting updates extracted from SAP Business One;
• Support supplier audits or on-site visits, when required.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or equivalent technical experience;
• Excellent written and oral communication in English, mandatory;
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams;
• Proactive, structured, and solution-oriented approach;
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, project-driven industrial environment.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

• Previous experience in operational Supply Chain, Expediting or operational Procurement roles;
• Hands-on experience with SAP Business One, particularly in purchase order management, delivery dates and supplier confirmations, MRP reports and material requirements;
• Solid understanding of MRP flows and make-to-order or project-based production environments;
• Good knowledge of supply chain and procurement operational processes;
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability for delivery commitments;
• Continuous learning attitude and commitment to excellence;
• Analytical mindset and strong problem‑solving skills;
• Attention to detail and strong reliability in data handling;
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, working under tight deadlines.

ADDITIONAL ASSETS

• Previous experience in aerospace, defense or advanced industrial environments will be considered as a plus;
• Knowledge of Incoterms and inbound logistics processes;
• Experience working with international suppliers;
• Familiarity with project-based or engineered-to-order contexts.

SALARY RANGE:

27.000 - 33.000 EUR
