Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor in Stratospheric Physics at UNSW Canberra, ADFA Campus. The role blends research and teaching, with curriculum development, student supervision, and active publication activity.

It offers opportunities to collaborate with international space agencies and industry partners. The position includes serving as Station Director of the Balloon Launching Station in Alice Springs, engaging CSIRO, NASA and others, and contributing to securing funding while mentoring

Formación

PhD in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.
Expertise in atmospheric physics, electronics and/or stratospheric ballooning.
Commitment to maintaining contemporary disciplinary knowledge and developments.
Ability to contribute to and enhance teaching and research activities.
Experience managing large-scale projects, including contract negotiations and risk management.

Responsabilidades

Lead curriculum development and delivery in stratospheric physics.
Supervise students and publish high-impact research.
Secure research funding and foster international collaborations.
Act as Station Director of the Balloon Launching Station in Alice Springs and liaise with partners such as CSIRO and NASA.
