UNESCO's Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in Trieste invites applications for an Associate Research Officer to advance climate science, especially regional extremes and hazard projections, with relevance to renewable energy and environmental risk assessment.

The role partners with scientists and international institutions, contributes to training and workshops, and offers a one-year project-based contract; ideal for early-career researchers with PhD and strong data

Competenze

• Hold a PhD or advanced degree in climate science or a related field.
• Have at least two years of relevant research experience.
• Strong analytical and data modelling skills.
• Experience in scientific research and technical reporting.
• Knowledge of programming tools such as Python.
• Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills.
