AVL Italia S.p.A in Cavriago, Italy is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to develop a competitive supplier base for powertrain, vehicle, and battery programs. You will identify suppliers, perform pre-qualifications, support RFQs, and analyze TCO while coordinating with Engineering, Quality and Project teams to mitigate risks.

The role emphasizes supplier dossiers, benchmarking, and monthly KPI dashboards, with travel as needed and a focus on continuous improvement in sourcing efficiency.

Competenze

• Degree in Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supplier scouting.
• Experience in automotive and/or energy sectors.
• Strong knowledge of powertrain systems, battery systems, and vehicle engineering.
• Ability to read technical drawings and analyze BOMs.
• Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, IATF standards.
• Strong negotiation and risk assessment skills.
• Proficient in English; willingness to travel.

Mansioni

• Identify and scout new suppliers in automotive and energy sectors.
• Perform technical and economic pre-qualification and supplier assessments.
• Support RFQ processes, including supplier selection and benchmarking.
• Conduct Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis and cost breakdowns.
• Manage supplier-related risks and ensure mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, and Project Management teams.
• Develop and maintain supplier dossiers and benchmarking analyses.
• Run mini RFIs and organize technical visits to supplier facilities.
• Monitor supplier performance through monthly dashboards and KPIs.
• Support proposal preparation and contribute to new business acquisition.
• Analyze technical drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing processes.
• Ensure alignment with APQP, PPAP, and IATF standards.
• Continuously improve supplier competitiveness and sourcing efficiency.
