Saipem, a global leader in engineering and construction for energy and infrastructure, seeks a Strategic Sourcing Coordinator to drive market intelligence and strategic vendor scouting across Construction & Fabrication and Onshore units. The role involves identifying top subcontractors, tracking market trends, and strengthening supplier ecosystems to improve procurement performance.

Competenze

• Master's or bachelor's degree in technical disciplines or Economics.
• Proven experience in Market Intelligence, Contractor Scouting or Strategic Procurement within EPC, Oil & Gas, Energy or large-scale industrial construction projects.
• Knowledge of Chinese contractors and module fabrication yards is a plus.

Purpose of the position: As Strategic Sourcing Coordinator, you will be promoting, defining and driving Market Intelligence and Strategic Vendor Scouting activities across CMT Subcontracting Construction & Fabrication and the Onshore Business Unit.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify high-performing Construction and Fabrication subcontractors worldwide
• Monitor market trends, contractor capabilities, competitive developments and regional opportunities to support informed sourcing decisions
• Strengthen the supplier ecosystem relying on strong and longlasting relationship with main strategic subcontractors
• Leveraging on solid and reliable ecosystem, deliver sustainable improvements in procurement performance, cost efficiency and execution effectiveness

What are we looking for?

Education

Master's Degree/bachelor’s degree, preferred on technical disciplines or Economy

Experience

proven experience in Market Intelligence, Contractor Scouting or Strategic Procurement within EPC, Oil & Gas, Energy or large-scale industrial construction projects. Experience in supplier mapping, contractor qualification, market benchmarking and competitive intelligence activities to support sourcing strategies.

Languages

good proficiency in both written and spoken English

Technical/IT Skills

SAP, Teams, Outlook, MS Office main apps. In-depth understanding of global Construction and Fabrication subcontracting markets, with exposure to international contractors and fabrication yards. Knowledge of Chinese contractors and module fabrication yards is a plus

Some travelling will be expected within Italy and/or abroad.
