Job summary

DXC Technology Italy is recruiting a Senior Public Sector Project Manager to join the DXC AdvisoryX Offering in Rome, with hybrid work options. The role focuses on leading public sector IT roadmaps, planning execution, managing budgets, and guiding client strategies to meet objectives.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in management consulting for the public sector, strong PM method knowledge, and experience with Jira/Confluence and MS Project/Primavera. Italian and English fluency are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Management Consulting within the Public Sector.
• Strong project/programme management methodology skills (Agile, Waterfall or Hybrid).
• Experience with PM tools like Jira/Confluence for Agile delivery and MS Project or Primavera P6 for Waterfall planning.
• PM certifications such as PMP, PMI, PRINCE2 Practitioner, UNI 11648, CSM or PSM I are a plus.
• Basic experience using AI-enabled tools to support PM activities with human oversight.
• Proven ability to manage budget, timelines and project risk.

Responsibilities

• Own creation of roadmaps for development and evolution of public sector IT landscapes.
• Plan and manage operational execution with timelines, milestones, and resources.
• Monitor progress and escalate deviations to PMO.
• Align client strategy and processes to support growth and objectives.
• Lead workshops on public sector matters with clients and third parties.
• Drive technology-enabled business solutions and new ways of doing business.
• Act as primary client contact on progress, issues and change requests.
• Coach and support engagement teams and contribute to hiring through interviews.
• Lead SAL meetings and validate contractual deliverables and milestones.
