Job summary

Leonardo is seeking a Senior Product Owner / Project Manager to maximize product value and ensure end-to-end delivery in a hybrid model. You will shape the product vision, maintain a prioritised backlog, and coordinate cross-functional teams between Italy and the JV Reading secondment, balancing governance with agile delivery.

• Excellent backlog management: decompose work into features, epics and user stories.
• Balance technical, business, compliance and risk considerations in prioritisation.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication across users, business and technical teams.
• Proven ability to facilitate cross functional collaboration across architecture, engineering, security and testing teams.
• High analytical thinking to translate problems into structured product and delivery needs.

Responsibilities

• Maximise product value by shaping and maintaining a clear, user centric product vision aligned to business objectives.
• Maintain a transparent, prioritised product backlog reflecting strategic priorities and stakeholder needs.
• Translate business goals into well-defined features, epics, and user stories with clear value.
• Lead structured project planning with governance, milestones and program alignment.
• Manage risks, issues, and dependencies to protect delivery predictability and quality.
• Act as liaison between users, stakeholders and delivery teams with clear communication and alignment.
• Coordinate cross functional collaboration with architecture, engineering, security, BA and testing teams.
• Uphold quality by validating increments meet acceptance criteria and user needs.
• Ensure timely delivery through oversight of progress and evidence-based decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement via retrospectives and delivery insights.
