Job summary

GBfoods Group in Italy is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to lead all HR activities at the Agrate Brianza factory on a temporary, fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. The role requires strong knowledge of Italian labour law and industrial relations, with a focus on talent management, employee relations and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience as an HR Business Partner in a factory setting.
• Strong knowledge of Italian labour law, health and safety regulations, and industrial relations.
• Experience working with trade unions and employee representatives.
• Native Italian speaker with advanced proficiency in English.
• Availability to work on-site at the Agrate Brianza factory.
• Own car preferred to facilitate commuting to the factory.

Responsibilities

• Advise the Factory Management Team and implement HR strategies aligned with local and European priorities.
• Maintain relationships with employees, representatives and unions; manage grievances and disciplinary processes.
• Ensure compliance with labour laws, safety regulations and company policies.
• Support recruitment and onboarding processes for new employees.
• Guide talent development, retention, succession planning and leadership development.
• Coordinate training programmes and manage training budgets.
• Implement engagement initiatives and support safety, inclusion and wellbeing.
• Support transformation, change management and organisational development.
• Oversee HR budgets and report HR costs and turnover.
• Collaborate with European HR and cross-functional teams; coordinate payroll providers and labour law advisors.
