Four Seasons Taormina is seeking an entry-level Stewarding team member to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of china, glassware, and kitchen equipment. You will help ensure safe storage of cleaning chemicals and assist with inventory in a seasonal, full-time role at the San Domenico Palace.

You should have a high school diploma or equivalent and good Italian language skills. The position offers meals, uniform care, and training opportunities as part of our comprehensive employee program.

About The Role

Reporting into the Assistant Stewarding Manager, you will be responsible for the cleaning, maintenance, and sanitation of china, glassware, silverware, kitchen equipment and kitchen production areas, always maintaining a safe work environment, safely utilizing and storing cleaning compounds, chemicals, and materials while assisting with inventory of china, glass and silver. You will ensure that each outlet and function have an adequate supply of clean dishes and silverware and keep the kitchen in line with HACCP rules and PWT Standards.

What You Will Do

• Clean and sanitize china, glasses, and flatware using the dishwashing machine; load and unload dishes and flatware from dishwashing machine and store properly.


• Clean and sanitize all ovens, steam kettles, mixers and other kitchen equipment as well as all kitchen drains, sinks, floors, and walls; clean, dust, seep, mop, polish, scrub, wash, strip, and buff kitchen and pastry shop production areas and hallways.


• Clean and sanitize all pots, pans, and kitchen utensils using the correct cleaning and rinsing solutions.


• Safely utilize and store all cleaning compounds, chemicals, and materials including soaking solution utilizing the correct protective clothing.

What You Bring

• High school education or equivalent experience.


• This is in entry level position. Working knowledge is genrally learned on the job.


• A special talent and passion for ensuring you and the team deliver the highest of standards of service consistently, ensuring exceptional hygiene practices and high care to our internal and external guests.


• Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the Italian language.

Schedule & Hours

• This is a full-time position


• The candidate must have a flexible schedule and work also on weekends and holidays.

This position is based at the San Domenico Palace in Taormina and the contract is seasonal. You must possess the legal right to work in Italy.
