Trane Italia is seeking a skilled Record to Report Team Leader based in Trezzano sul Naviglio to oversee statutory finance for three Italian entities. You will lead two team members, manage monthly close, ensure general ledger accuracy, and guarantee compliance with local Italian GAAP and US GAAP, collaborating with Tax, Legal and Audit teams.

You will drive process improvements, automate reporting, and use Oracle and OneSource.

Formación

• Qualified accountant with at least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience with Oracle and OneSource financial systems.
• Strong knowledge of Italian GAAP and US GAAP.
• Proven leadership capability and experience as a people manager.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage high data volumes and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; knowledge of AI apps is a plus.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of another European language is welcome.

Statutory Account Team Leader (org title = RTR Country Leader Italy - Finance)

Trane Technologies is seeking a Record to Report (RTR) Team Leader based in Trezzano sul Naviglio, Milan, Italy.

In Italy, Trane Technologies operates through four statutory entities covering distribution and service activities, manufacturing, and support functions.

This role is part of the RTR Statutory Reporting team , an experienced local team of three, based in Trezzano, within the broader Regional RTR organization of 14 professionals across multiple countries and part of the larger EMEA RTR function.

Reporting to the Record to Report Regional Leader , the successful candidate will oversee statutory finance activities for three of the four Italian legal entities — one in Trezzano and two in Bari and will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and statutory books of record, as well as full compliance with local statutory, tax, and corporate reporting requirements, Local GAAP, US GAAP, and Italian tax regulations.

The successful candidate will also contribute to process improvement, automation, reporting excellence, and productivity initiatives , while ensuring strong internal controls and high-quality financial governance.

This is a full-time onsite role , working alongside your colleagues, with up to 30 days per year of flexible work location.

Main responsibilities:

• Lead and support two experienced team members based in Trezzano
• Oversee monthly close activities, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of general ledgers, sub-ledgers, and related accounts
• Ensure compliance with Trane Technologies’ Standards of Internal Control, FICAP requirements, and reporting timetables
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations in line with internal control standards
• Coordinate the preparation of statutory financial statements and audit files
• Manage statutory audits and ensure timely completion of all required statutory filings
• Support the tax function and liaise with external tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely filing of local tax returns
• Ensure compliance with VAT, Corporate Income Tax, and Transfer Pricing requirements
• Prepare quarterly US GAAP tax provisions using OneSource for relevant legal entities
• Lead and participate in MDI initiatives, including AI projects, automation, reporting improvement, and productivity actions
• Identify, address, and resolve compliance issues within the area of responsibility
• Monitor and use performance metrics and KPIs to support continuous improvement
• Build effective working relationships with business unit teams and cross-functional stakeholders

What you will bring:

Essential

• Qualified accountant with a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience
• Strong experience with financial and tax systems such as Oracle and OneSource
• Good knowledge of Italian GAAP and US GAAP
• Proven leadership capability, with the ability to operate effectively as a collaborative team player and trusted business partner.
• Experience as a people manager or coordinator, with innovation and promoting continuous improvement mindset.
• Strong communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage high volumes of data accurately and work effectively under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office , especially Excel ; knowledge and practical use of AI applications is considered a strong plus
• Fluency in English , both written and spoken. Knowledge of another European language is welcome.
