Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG in Padova, Italy seeks a Staff Embedded Software Engineer to craft embedded software for ARM Cortex, Aurix, or RISC-V MCU platforms and to collaborate on humanoid robotics R&D projects.

You will work with ROS 2, ROS-based simulation tools, and reference solutions, integrating hardware and software for scalable robotic demonstrations. English fluency is required; Italian is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years in embedded software design and development, preferably in robotics or semiconductor industry.
• Proficiency in C, C++, and Python.
• Experience with ROS 2 and robot simulation platforms.
• Hands-on experience with physical robots or Isaac Sim is a plus.
• Experience with RTOS, Zephyr.
• Knowledge of MCU architectures and Ethernet/CAN.
• Experience with ARM Cortex, TriCore, and RISC-V is a plus.
• Fluency in English; Italian a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test and verify embedded software for MCU products.
• Develop, test, and deploy scalable humanoid robotic software solutions.
• Integrate hardware and software components for robotic demonstrators.
• Enable Infineon product portfolios for open-source ecosystems like Zephyr and ROS.
• Collaborate with Business Lines and adjacent domains.
• Capture and break down requirements into structured work packages.
