Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG in Padova, Italy, is seeking an Application Engineer to join our Customer Collaboration and Technical Marketing team. You will work with customers to translate their needs into cutting-edge automotive microcontroller designs and build lasting partnerships.

You will partner with customers through development, solve complex embedded challenges in C, perform proofs-of-concept, and train Field Application Engineers. Travel up to 5–10 trips per year may be required.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Software Engineering, or similar.
• 3+ years in automotive Tier1/OEM environments with embedded systems development, integration and debugging.
• Strong hands-on embedded C development and low-level debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical partner for key customers across development lifecycles.
• Solve complex embedded challenges and drive proofs-of-concept with customers.
• Assist in early project phases and at decisive milestones, including escalations.
• Work hands-on remotely and on-site to debug issues and optimize performance.
• Share application know-how and train Field Application Engineers and customers.
