Oversonic Robotics in Italy is seeking a hands-on Robotics Software Engineer to join our Navigation Team. You will own the software platform beneath our navigation stack and work across Software, Hardware, and Customer Support to ensure robust operations in production.

The role emphasizes real-world deployment, debugging, sensor calibration (LiDAR, IMU, cameras), Nav2 and ROS/ROS 2 mastery, and end-to-end troubleshooting on the factory floor.

Formación

• Degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
• Real-world experience deploying, testing, and maintaining autonomous robot navigation systems.
• Strong C++ and Python skills with debugging existing code.
• Solid practical ROS/ROS 2 experience, especially Nav2.
• Ability to diagnose hardware/software interactions and troubleshoot sensors (LiDAR, cameras, IMUs).
• Familiarity with IoT/streaming protocols (MQTT, NATS, WebRTC).
• Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites for on-site troubleshooting.
• Full professional proficiency in English.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain & optimize existing ROS/ROS 2 codebases and debug/refactor.
• Hands-on hardware calibration and testing of sensors on robots.
• Tune SLAM, localization, and path-planning for dynamic environments.
• Troubleshoot production issues and support deployed robots on-site.
