Alpaca is seeking an Analytics Engineer to own the data transformation layer of our cloud-native platform. You will build robust models using dbt and SQL, processing hundreds of millions of events from diverse sources and delivering trusted data to finance, operations, and product teams.

You will collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and business users, ensuring data quality, scalability, and discoverability across BI tools, with a strong focus on ELT best practices and CI/CD

Competenze

• 4+ years of analytics or data engineering focused on ELT transformation.
• Own data products end-to-end with quality and scalability.
• Able to work with ambiguity and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Improve data warehouse performance and ETL efficiency.
• Expert SQL and DBT for complex transformations.
• Python for transformations beyond SQL.
• Query optimization across Postgres and OLAP systems.
• Semantic Layer modeling with dbt Semantic Layer.
• CI/CD workflows and Git-based reviews.
• Experience with cloud environments (GCP or AWS).
